Sept. 7 thru Sept. 10 - Nova Scotia

Here's the plan....almost 1400 miles in 4 days....turned into 3 days because of the weather though.....

The ride to Nova Scotia was a nice warm day.  Really strong winds at the northeast end of the Bay of Fundy though.....like 40 mph or so!  Not a lot of fun on a motorcycle.  Saw a big motorhome that blew off the road.

The Bay of Fundy has the most extreme tides in the world.....up to 53 feet between low and high.  These are mud flats exposed at low tide in the distance.

Tuesday's ride to Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail started out ok, but then got cool (60 deg), foggy, and wet.

Good lunch stop though to warm up and dry out a bit....that is a big bucket of mussels....Greg ate them all.....!

Foggy on the east side of the island....still some great scenery though.

Started to clear up and warm up a bit as we rode over the mountains to the west side of the island.

A good view of probably the most photographed spot on the Cabot Trail.

More nice scenery and old homes and churches heading south towards Antigonish.

Made it back to Antigonish....cold but not too wet.  The next day we headed to the south shore of Nova Scotia and Halifax.  As we got closer to Halifax the sea fog got thicker, the temp cooler and us wetter.

Neat old boats....

Foggy bridge at Halifax.

Kinda cool.....

After lunch we decided to just head back to Bangor, Maine where we left the camper.  Getting away from the shoreline we had nice weather and went 600 miles that day.

Gonna rest up a day and then time for more Maine Lobstah!
